Hello! I’m Erin Tate, owner and therapist of Dragonfly Counseling. As a private practice clinician, I focus on a person-centered, evidence based approach that includes techniques from multiple areas. I believe that building a solid foundation with my clients helps get better results for them and their journey.
I received my Master’s of Social Work from Simmons College in Boston, MA in 2013 and have been practicing Social Work for the past 11 years. I’ve had the honor of working with all stages of the life cycle including students, youth, adults, older adults, and end-of-life and believe that, no matter where a person is, a good clinician can make a difference.
When I’m not seeing clients, I enjoy being outdoors, camping and fishing. I’m an avid reader and often spend time with my nose in sci-fi and fantasy series. I’m a nerd who enjoys board games and tabletop gaming as well as the occasional video game. In nice weather, I garden and would one day love to have a greenhouse to grow plants and vegetables year round!

I believe in working with people to find and experience their best selves and am honored to walk with people on their journey.”

Hello! My name is Brittney and I am a person-centered therapist who works with people of all ages (10 yrs and up), different gender/sexual identities, and various cultural backgrounds. My clients would describe me as safe, direct, warm, bubbly, empathetic, understanding, and honest. I have worked with clients undergoing many life transitions and experiences including grief, faith transitions/deconstructions/explorations, various traumas, anxiety, depression, bipolar, LGBTQ+ identity exploration, and many others. It is always an honor to support clients in their journey- nothing is “too much” or “too big” to unpack together.
I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, so I prioritize making therapy a collaborative experience where we work together to find techniques that fit best with your needs, goals, and values. We may work together using talk therapy, mindfulness, emotional regulation practices, communication techniques, or other practices, however, I don’t believe specific techniques are the magic bullet for solving life’s difficulties. My ultimate goal is to build a therapeutic relationship with you where you know you’re valued, seen, and deeply heard so that you feel safe to access your best self and find the internal ability to make the changes you desire as I support you along the way.

Hey there, I’m Erin Esponda! I am a trained therapist with 2 years of clinical experience working with clients of all ages ranging from early childhood to elder adults. I believe that no two counseling relationships look the same and each one should be catered to the needs of each
individual through a collaborative experience. To do that, I practice using techniques from multiple modalities including mindfulness, emotional regulation, journaling, distress tolerance,
cognitive restructuring, relaxation techniques, empathetic understanding, and unconditional positive regard.
I have experience working with clients on anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship issues, chronic illness, goal setting, and more. I like to approach these areas of concern through a person-centered lens, while borrowing from other modalities such as CBT, DBT, Reality Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I believe that the most
powerful person in the room is the client and aim to gently guide them to experiencing their full potential by creating an environment where they feel safe, capable, and accepted.

Tim Warburton, SWCL

Hello, my name is Tim Warburton (he/him) and I’ve lived and worked in Billings since 2005.  I have a work history in Billings that includes working with adults with developmental disabilities, people in crisis at the Billings Clinic Psych Center, individual/group/family counseling related specifically to addiction, working with people experiencing homelessness, and most recently as a hospice social worker working with people and their families at end of life. I am well suited to meet with a wide range of individuals from all ages experiencing all types of life’s challenges. I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Services from MSU-B in 2023 and earned my graduate degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota in 2020. I have had my license here in Montana as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) since 2014. I am currently a Social Worker Licensure Candidate (SWLC) working under the supervision of Erin T. here at Dragonfly Counseling working towards my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.

As for me personally, I’ve been married to my incredible partner Anna for almost 18 years now. We have 4 children, ages 9-17. We enjoy our summers spending time with family and camping, and our school year doing whatever we can to ensure our kids are set up for success and learning new things. I am an advocate for being an advocate and advocacy. I ran for City Council here in Billings in 2021 in earnest and was on the ballot for state legislature in 2022 so the seat didn’t go unopposed because I believe voters at least deserve an option. I believe we need many more people actively doing the work and seeing up close the challenges of our time, people like teachers, nurses, members of our LGBTQ+ community, and of course therapists, to name a few. I am likely to be on a ballot again at some point and you’ll definitely find me encouraging others to run for office all the time.

My counseling philosophy is based on the belief that healing happens in relationship, and that relationship is one built on authenticity, trust, and honesty. If you can feel free to be your true self, trust that the conversation stays confidential, and be completely honest, there is no limit to the change you can create for yourself. If you think I may be a good fit for you or somebody you know, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at 406-901-5567 or timw@dragonflybillings.org and I would be honored to meet with you and discuss what is going on and identify any changes you’d like to make in your life.
